Brendan is in Chiba Prefecture on the other side of Tokyo Bay from Tokyo for this week's Bridgestone Open and event he has played well on occasions. In 2003 Brendan finished 7th behind Joe Ozaki after shooting consecutiove round sof 66 at the weekend.

An encouraging final round at last week's Japan Open has Brendan regaining some of the confidence he lost as a result of back pain during the latter stages of his US campaign this season and he is looking forward to playing the Sodegaura Country Club's Sodegaura Course again.

Brendan will begin his tournament at 9.30am on day one when he will play with Nobuhiro Masuda and recent winner Mamo Osanai.
