A horror week leading into the tournament where he spent much of his time in bed recovering from ilness, then experienced a quadruple bogey in his first round and an ordinary week of weather, all conspired against Brendan having a chance to do well but he somehow manged to fight back over the weekend to finish where he did.
An early eagle in today's final round gave Brendan an outside chance of chasing down the leaders but a shaky start to his back nine would eliminate any of those thoughts. Two late birdies however had him finish with a round of 70 and certainly one of the more impressive final 36 holes.
Brendan earns ¥2.4 million for his efforts and moves back to number three on the 2007 Japan Golf Tour money list.
Brendan will play in this week's JCB Classic in Sendai before taking a well earned break.

All things considered Brendan has had a very good week at the Mitsubishi Diamond Cup tournament in Mito outside of Tokyo, where he finished 11th.
