The opening 36 holes of the Sun Chlorella Classic in Hokkaido have been severely disrupted by weather then darkness but Brendan has been able to complete both rounds and, with a number of players still to even start their second round, he finds himself in a share of 10th position at 2 under.Brendan was required to start his first round early on day two then once finished he headed back out onto the golf course almost straight away as tournament orgnaisers looked to make up lost time. Brendan completed his opening round in one under par 71, perhaps the most disappointing aspect that he was unable to take advantage of the par fives. He birdied only one but at 1 under he was well enough placed as he headed into his second round this afternoon. Brendan was in a share of 14th before he started his second round at 2.30pm and he managed to get that finished but only just. His group which included Jumbo Ozaki and Tetsuji Hiratsuka narrowly avoided having to come back on Saturday morning to complete round two by being the last group to finish before darkness. As to how far Brendan will be from the lead at the completion of all opening 36 holes of the event will be determined by the current tearway leader, Dinesh Chand, who is at 10 under through 17 holes and will be forced to return to the golf course early on Saturday to complete his second round. |
