Brendan has struggled on day three of the Open Championship, his third round of 83 costing him any chance of a good week.

"I had a day from hell, said Brendan reflecting on a horror day on the golf course. "Everything that could go wrong did. I didn't play well, my putting was terrible, I had airswings and to cap it all off got a penalty for my ball rolling on the green at the 16th as I addressed it."

"Apart from all that I had a terrific day!!," he added, tongue in cheek.

Brendan will hope to finish the tournament on a better note tomorrow before heading for the US on Monday morning to prepare for the World Golf Championship Bridegstone event in Ohio starting on July 31st. "I'll spend a few days in Dallas with friends and try and hopefully find my swing again after the conditions this week."
