Brendan has finished 4th in the opening event of the Japan Golf Tour season, the Token Homemate Cup, making up considerable ground after his slow start to the event on Thursday.

A final round of 68, the equal best of the day, on a difficult day for scoring saw Brendan improve from his third round position of 10th and he has begun the season well. Ryo Ishikawa chipped in at the last to cost Brendan a share of third position.

"I felt I played very well from tee to green for most of the week but was not able to make anything," said Brendan after his round. "Overall I am very happy with the start to the year however."

Brendan will how head a little further south to Hyogo for the Tsuruya Open, an event he has won on three previous occasions.
