Brendan is in Hyogo in the southern half of Honshu for this week's Japan PGA Championship Nissin Cupnoodle Cup, one of the major championships on the Japan Golf Tour.

Brendan did not play this event last year but in his three previous starts has finished inside the top ten. He of course arrives at this week's event as the Japan Golf Tour's money list leader after his win at the Crowns two weeks ago and after the one week break back in Canberra played well enough in yesterday's pro-am.

Brendan slipped a few places in the world ranking last week and now stands in 57th position but a win this week would have him threatening that all important top 50 and inclusion in next month's US Open field. First thing's first however and hopefully a continuation of Brendan's great start to the season.
