A last minute call up has given Brendan the chance to play at this week's International event in Castle Rock but first he will need a Pars Injection in his back before heading to Colorado on Wednesday afternoon. 

"On Tuesday morning I was fifth alternate then it was third then there was just one left and when Ken Green pulled out today I was advised by the Tour this afternoon that I had a place in the field."

Brendan visited a specialist on Monday in Dallas to have further investigative work on his back which has been of concern of late and it was suggested that he have the Pars Injection which should be of benefit. "I am having the injection on Wednesday morning and will fly to Denver in the afternoon. I will not get in a practice round but I did play there last year and am just pleased to get the start."

"Given that I was expecting to spend the week here in Dallas trying to get the back sorted out  I have not had the chance to do any practice this week but hopefully the trip will be worthwhile."

Brendan missed the cut at the International last year but despite his concerns regarding his back he is not all that unhappy with his game currently. "The delays in play last week did not help the back issue and I certainly played better in round two".

Brendan has a late tee time on day one which will further assist in getting him ready to play the opening round.
