A double bogey at the final hole of his second round of the Japan Open Championship might not have been the best way to finish his opening 36 holes, but despite the blunder Brendan is well enough placed as the event heads into the weekend at the Aichi Country Club in Nagoya.
Brendan finds himself in a share of 10th position at 2 under and seven behind the lead of American Han Lee and Japan's Hiroyuki Fujita. He is, however, only two shots behind 5th position. "I pulled my drive into the water hazard at the last and from there I managed to drop the ball only to see it kick two metres right behind a tree and eventually took 7," said Brendan after his round. "Clearly I was not happy about it. I actually played well and felt I deserved to be a lot better than where I finished." "The course is actually playing a little easier and the scoring a little lower than most thought but that is mainly because the greens are soft" |
