Brendan has made it through to the weekend at the Gateway to the Open Mizuno Open in Okayama in      southern Honshu but a double bogey at his final hole of the day was a tough pill to swallow given that he had fought his way back from an opening 73

Brendan found the water with his tee shot at the last of the day, the par four 9th hole.

"I actually played well enough but the double was annoying," said Brendan. "It was very hot and windy out there!"

Brendan is in 49th position and 10 shots from the lead of recent winner Masanori Kobayashi.
