Halfway through today's second round of the Fujisankei Classic it appeared likely that Brendan might be on his way back to Canberra a little earlier than had been anticipated. Through ten holes of his round Brendan had slipped to 7 over for the tournament and with the cut appearing as if it would fall around the 4 over mark there was plenty of work for Brendan to do if he wanted to play the weekend.
Part of him would have ben happy to head back for a break in Canberra but then the competitive side of him took over and two birdies and an eagle in the next five holes had him at 3 over and well inside the cutline.
"My putting is attrocious & I'm hitting the ball terribly, said Brendan this evening. "I even missed a putt from 2 inches yesterday too. I'm thinking I might even take a three week break after this week but we shall see how I am feeling after the weekend. I really feel I need it."
