A second round of 72 sees Brendan in 47th place after two rounds of the Mistui Sumitomo Visa Taiheiyo tournament in Japan.
As he had done yesterday, it was holes late in his round that proved costly, this time a double bogey at the par four 16th but he was able to regain some of the lost ground with a birdie at the reachable last.
It was certainly a better day on the greens but two late bogeys on the front nine and then the double at the 16th leave him a long way from the lead.
