With an early birdie at the par five 4th, Brendan had worked himself into a position early in his round where a top five was very much on the cards. He was then at four under for the tournament and although the leader, Ian Poulter, was several shots ahead, there was a chance with a strong finish to move inside the top five at least.
Things would go the other way unfortunately and Brendan eventually finished 19th.
Brendan will now head to Kochi on the island of Shikoku for this week's Casio World Open. |

A stumbling finish at the Dunlop Phoenix tournament in Miyazaki has proved costly for Brendan, a bogey at the par four 15th followed by a double bogey at the par three 17th along with a failure to make a birdie at the par five last, all contributing to a finish that could have been so much better.
